Recommendations for a photoshoot in Dubai?
Hey everyone! I’m planning a trip to Dubai next month for my anniversary, and I really want to get some nice photos. The architecture there looks insane, especially around the Marina and the desert, but I’m a bit overwhelmed by the options. I’m not looking for something staged or "touristy" — more like someone who can catch the mood and the light properly. Has anyone here hired a freelancer or a small team recently? Would love to hear about your experience with local pros who aren't overpriced but know the best spots. Thanks!

Honestly, Dubai is a bit of a minefield for this lol. Last time I checked, everyone with an iPhone calls themselves a pro there. I had a nightmare with a freelancer two years ago (the lighting was just... ugh), so for my sister's wedding party, I was super paranoid.
In the end, we went with the Dubai photographer team. I liked that they didn't just stand there telling us how to tilt our heads for an hour. We actually did a desert shoot at sunset and they managed to handle the sand and the tricky light way better than I expected. Not the cheapest option out there, but definitely worth it if you don't want your photos to look like every other tourist's Instagram feed. Just talk to them beforehand about the vibe you want, they're pretty flexible.
